Amie is now home from the hospital. They were able to stop the contractions with use of medications that she will now be on for the remainder of the pregnancy. She will also be on strict bedrest until 32 weeks. Our family appreciates all of your thoughts and prayers and asks for continued prayers for a healthy pregnancy the remainder of the time. God is so good!

Prayer Warriors Are Being Called
This morning around 1am Amie (my sister) was checked into the hospital for contractions that were 3 minutes apart. She is 28 weeks pregnant and has a history of delivering babies early (she delivered Kai at 30 weeks). As of now, they have stopped the contractions with medication. She is awaiting a high risk doctor to come in to see her. She will be on bedrest for the remainer of the pregnancy. Please keep her in your prayers. Please pray for the health of mommy and the little life inside of her. Pray that the doctors will be able to keep her from delivering too early. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Prayer, as we all have seen before, can move mountains.

30 Day Shred
So I have about 10 pounds to lose before I am back to my pre-pregnancy weight and I am dertermined to get it off. I don't want to be one of those that gains 10 pounds with every pregnancy and then is over weight after it is all said and done. So I gave myself a very doable goal. My 10 year high school reunion (which I am in denial about) is in one month. So I am doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shred until then. Hays and I (he would kill me if he knew I was telling everyone that he did it) did the video for the first time tonight. It is only 20 minutes long but I thought I was going to die. I really hate doing workout videos but with the heat outside right now and a small baby to tote with me, this is the best option. The jogging stroller will get plenty of use in the fall. So here goes nothing....day 1 of 30 completed.
Look Who's Sitting Up
We also started eating carrots today. She seemed to really enjoy them. I think she's going to be like her mommy and like her fruits and veggies. Hope everyone has a good hump day!

Sinks Aren't Just For Dishes In This House
Beach With The Girls Plus One
Olivia and I just got back from our annual girls trip to the beach (plus the turkey below). Every year me, Aunt Cindy, Amie, Kai, mom and now Olivia take a couple of days to relax. We had a great time. Not many pictures this year due to no trips to the actual beach because of the oil and forgetting the camera every time we went to the pool. Like always, it wasn't nearly long enough and we even had an extra day this year. Our goal for next year is to rent a house and have the ENTIRE family join us. A BIG thanks to Mr. Jan and Mrs. Gail for letting us borrow the condo.

Happy Half Birthday To The Girl
This month has been a little on the rocky side but those moments were overcome by many blessings and moments of laughter. Olivia kinda took a couple of steps backwards in her sleep habits but that was all cured with a little cereal in her belly. She now eats 4 T of cereal twice a day and LOVES it. She looks like a little birdie with her mouth open waiting for more cereal to come her way.
Olivia is such a good little baby. If her needs are met she is happy to be playing in her activity gym or on a blanket on the floor playing with toys. If Lilly (the pup) is around she is in awe of every move she makes. Makes me laugh. She also still really enjoys her swing, swatting at all her toys that hang above her head, looking at herself in the mirror, pulling on her mommy and daddy's hair, her lovies, and to be rocked to sleep at night. She also loves to look at books as we read them to her and to be talked to all the time. She does NOT like when we leave a room (NOT a good thing). We are so thankful for every experience this little girl brings our way. Wow, a short 6 months has turned a newborn infant into a smiling baby with so much personality.
