Hays and I left the doctor's office yesterday not really knowing what to think about the whole situation. We just cannot believe that our little girl will be here. We know that this is God's plan and we have to trust Him and know that He will be with us and watching after us during this whole process. Hays will post pictures and an update and soon as he has a minute. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers for us and baby Olivia.

BIG News....
So our life into parenthood is creeping up faster than we had anticipated. Hays and I went to the doctor for our weekly check-up yesterday to find out that we will be parents next tuesday (2-2-10) if not sooner. Everything is fine with me and the baby. He does want to go ahead and induce because of my hypothyroidism. I am 1.5 centimeters dilated, 50% effaced and she is head down and ready to go. Hopefully, she will come on her own before next Tuesday but if not we will arrive at the hospital that day at 5:30 in the morning. All prayers and thoughts are greatly needed and appreciated!

The Nursery......
So this is Olivia's nursery. Since we ARE having a girl, I tried to make it as girly as possible. May never have this chance again so I took full advantage of it. Hays has had to really get used to all the pink, baby dolls and other girly things that come with having a girl. He has no idea what he is in store for him (I will be sure and take a picture the first time he plays baby dolls or has a tea party):) Of course, we still have some things to put on the walls (they're pretty bare). One of my close and very talented friends, KeithAnn, is painting a canvas for us to go over her crib. VERY excited to be getting that. Hope our little girl enjoys this room as much as I have enjoyed decorating it and preparing for her.

37 Weeks and Counting.......
So we are officially on the countdown to Olivia's arrival date. Today we are 37 weeks and "full term". This has been a great adventure that no words can describe but I think I am coming to the point that I am READY for it to be over. We are so ready and excited for this little girl's arrival we don't know what to do with ourselves. Her due date is exactly 3 weeks from today. We are now going to the doctor once a week from which this week was completely uneventful. We did have a sonogram that revealed that our little girl weighs around 6.5 pounds and has a little bit of what looked like STRAIGHT hair (thank goodness). No dilation to speak of. She is very comfy and doesn't want to go anywhere (who can blame her, she's got it made).
Next to come is pictures of the nursery....promise!
Baby Shower #2
A couple of weekends ago Hays and I traveled to Memphis for the last time until Olivia gets here for a baby shower that some close friends gave us. It was kind of weird knowing the next time we came to visit my parents we would have more than just our dog with us. Hays and I are still in shock mode that her arrival is right around the corner. You think we would finally come to terms with time??!!
The shower was wonderful to say the very least. We had so many people come and share the special day with us. We also got many wonderful gifts for Baby Olivia to enjoy in the days to come. A BIG thanks to Mrs. Roxanne, Mrs.Connie, Cindy, Laura and Rachel for making the day so special for me.

Just An Update.....
I just wanted to post a small update on what has been going on since I have not posted anything since before Christmas. We had a wonderful Christmas and got to celebrate with both of our families. Our families love celebrating on Christmas Eve so the first year we were married we tossed a coin to see who got Christmas Eve for that year and have switched back and forth every year since then. This year it was our turn to spend Christmas Eve in Memphis and then we drove back to Jackson Christmas morning to see Hays' family (I guess this is what we will do until Olivia knows about Santa Claus, etc. and we need at stay in our home for Christmas morning). We had a wonderful time and are so thankful for this time of year to celebrate our Saviour's birth.
We spent New Year's in Dallas, TX at the Cotton Bowl. We went with our friends, Jay and Rebecca, and had a great time. It was our last trip before the baby gets here. Hays got credentials to photograph the Cotton Bowl, you can go to his website (link on the side bar) to check the pictures out. He had a great time and did a fabulous job. We didn't take many pictures of ourselves so we don't have much to document our time. We did have a nice and relaxing trip though and didn't want to come home to reality.
Olivia and I are doing great. I am 35 weeks as of yesterday so we have about 34 days to go (thanks to the ticker on here which helps me keep track). We go back to the doctor next week and have a sonogram to check up on Olivia (can't wait to see how much she weighs).
Pictures of the nursery and baby shower soon to come :)
