Christmas Tree 2014

According to Olivia, decorating this tree was the best night ever.
Making memories that last with these two little people.

A girl and her pup

They sure do love each other.

Saint Nick

Saint Nick was not loved by all...I am holding out hope for next year.
Next year, we will get the perfect picture with Santa...if all the stars align just right.

My Shopping Partners

You just can't find any that are cuter.

This Guy...

...I can't handle him.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was such a blessed time for our family. We ate 3 different Thanksgiving meals and were stuffed to the brim with food and love. Our lives are so richly blessed every day of the year.

Our two little turkeys. They were happy for a small break from school.

The Indian with no name.

The eight little rug rats that make Thanksgiving, Christmas and every other holiday loud, exciting and filled with love and laughter.

"the farm with no animals"

Ha! That's what we're calling our new homestead, "the farm with no animals." We live on 6 acres and like to pretend we're out in the middle of the country. We really do love it a lot. Our to-do list is endless and we have a major renovation to go through with the house but we are living our dream. We pinch ourselves every once in a while to make sure this is real.

God's creation is beautiful in every season.

Yep, that's me driving the tractor. It took me 6 months but I finally got up the nerve to learn how to drive it. The kids LOVE it.

The newest addition to the "farm with no animals" a tree swing. Next to the rocking chairs on the front porch, this is my favorite spot with my two favorite people.
I'll have to post pictures of the upstairs of the house soon. The BIG redo is coming at the beginning of the new year. I'll be sure to post about that too....if we live to tell about it.

A Sweet Visit

We got to visit with sweet C.C. and her parents over Thanksgiving break. Olivia and Ford got to meet her for the first time too. Ford was more intrigued with the cat and Olivia was a little timid but I was able to get a picture of them with her.
She's like a little baby doll.

Date Nights

We've started a little tradition with Olivia to have "date nights" every once in a while. Now, she will beg for a date night when it's been a while.

And every blue moon, we get a date night ourselves.

Dance

Last week was observation day for parents at dance class.
This girl rocked the dance floor. She dominated it. Even so that a parent came up to me afterwards and said she was the best one in the class.
We are proud and there's nothing wrong with that.
Way to go, Sissy!

My Boys.

Olivia and I are lucky girls.

Saturday Fun Day

Daddy went to an Ole Miss game one Saturday so we stayed home and had Saturday fun day. We went to buy new shoes for everyone, had a little ceramic painting fun and then decorated caramel apples. These are the days I love. A good time was had by all (including mommy).
*notice Olivia's OBsession with dolphins....*

Halloween 2014

The houses in our new neighborhood are so spaced out and it is full of older people so we decided to carry on with our usual plans and trick-or-treat in our old neighborhood with the Strehlows. We had a great (and COLD) time trick-or-treating. Made me miss our old crib a little.

Woody and Jessie had a GREAT time.

Pumpkin Carving Party

Our cousin, Sydney was in town so we decided to have everyone over for some chili and pumpkin carving. This was our first year to do this but it might just become a tradition.
Olivia's pumpkin had dolphins carved into it and Wil Franklin's was a ninja turtle.
A fun time was had by all.
