Just a Growin'

Isn't it so amazing that we have children that are literally growing right before our eyes? I mean, I never know what to expect from the day when I wake up in the morning. These two are just changing and growing so much that I can barely keep up. I told Hays the other day that I really wish we could bottle them up and get the six month old and 2 year old out when we forget what they were like at this age.

The little man of the house has recently grown 3!  new teeth...

and is now sitting up. Where did my newborn go?

The little lady of the house had her very first dance lesson. I guess she had a good time. She was able to show up a little half twirl move that she had learned. I'll keep you updated on just how this venture goes throughout the semester. In the meantime, is she not the cutest in her leotard, ballet shoes and little dance bag??

Saint Louis in Pictures

Hays and I decided for our vacation this year we would take the kids and go somewhere they would really enjoy and that was within driving distance so we picked Saint Louis. We had a great time and are so glad we picked this city to visit. They have TONS of stuff to do for children. We went to a Cardinals game (bad idea), The Magic House, The City Museum and the zoo. It was a great vacation or what we like to call "a trip with kids" (because a trip with kids is really no vacation).

Doesn't he get Dad of the Year? I think so.

This is what you end up doing when you take two kids that are two and under to a baseball game. You leave in the sixth inning after watching only two batters. It was a nightmare. So we spent some time in the team store.
Do you see anything odd about this picture? This girl keeps us on our toes.

We've had better baseball games with this little guy in tow. Maybe next time, big boy.

Then we ventured on to the zoo. We of course, had to ride the train and carousel.

Then we moved on to The Magic house where we could have spent at least three days because it was just that big and that much fun.

And the City Museum.

This is what Ford did most of the time. Just sleeping and being a good boy besides the moments he was cranky from getting 3 teeth at one time.

Camping at Jellystone

So, if you have kids and you love to camp Jellystone Park is the place to be. We were a tad skeptical and didn't really know what to expect with this whole adventure. But there was hardly anyone there the whole week and they provided tons of activities for children. Olivia was so excited and busy the whole week she barely took time to even eat meals.

Yogi's two new friends. Olivia wasn't a fan of the big Yogi in person but is sleeping with her stuffed Yogi as I type. She loves him.

There was a park and a putt-putt course just feet from our campsite.

Ford got tagged with a new nickname while we were there, Boo Boo.I think it is quite fitting.

Amongst the many activities the park provided was tye dying a t-shirt. I am telling you we didn't have a free minute.

We started and ended each day with a train ride around the park. Olivia loved it and looked forward to that part of the day. The train ride was followed by meeting the big, in person Yogi that we had to skip every time (Olivia is not into those big cartoon dress up people).

Even Ford joined in on the fun.
