Football, Football And More Football

We ventured to the Ole Miss game Saturday, too bad our presence didn't help the team out. They are not doing so hot this year. We have hope they'll pull it together before the season is over (maybe). Olivia had a good time otherwise. It was her first football game and she rather enjoyed herself. She looked pretty cute in her little dress too.

Cousin Wil Franklin had a great time too. We tried to get a decent picture of the two cuties. This
was the best we could do. :)

Obviously, Miss Priss knew something good was on t.v. because she stayed up way past her bedtime to watch the Colts/Giants game Sunday night. She was pulling for the Giants with her daddy but the Colts beat them with an ugly stick. Poor Eli!
Getting some sugars during the game. Two little peas in a pod. :)
We're heading to our Alma mater this weekend for some more football. It's the annual Pig Pickin weekend. If your a fighting okra then you know what I'm talking about. I think Olivia is excited about wearing GREEN this weekend. Enough of that red and blue.

P.S. After a visit in Cleveland for the weekend, we are heading to Arkansas for our first family vacation as three. It's a long road trip with a baby so be praying for us. We are so excited and I am sure will have a fabulous time.

Randomness....

So I haven't blogged in quite some time but not a lot has been going on. Well....one BIG thing. Olivia has a tooth!! Yep, that's right. A little, white, pearly poked its way through on the bottom. We are expecting another one to come through any day now (I heard they appear in pairs). I guess that would explain the sleepless night we had a few nights ago. Hays and I were about to pull our hair out. It was well worth that gem showing through the next morning.

What an adorable center piece...right??

First time riding in the grocery basket. Much better than riding around looking up at the ceiling in that silly seat. She rather enjoys the grocery store now (even the canned bean isle, HA).

Hays and I went to New Orleans to help the Saints bring in the new season. Olivia stayed with Nano and cheered them on in her cute little outfit. Great start to an exciting season.

Olivia cheering for the Rebels even though they were an embarrassment that day. We're hoping they pull it together the rest of the season.

Her boyfriend came over and looked at her like she was crazy because of the colors she was wearing. He's not much on RED. We might have to find her a new boyfriend.

My 10 year high school reunion was last weekend. We had a great time seeing everyone that was there. I graduated with over 400 people and we only had 60 people come to the reunion. Pretty sad if you ask me. A BIG thanks to those that took the time to plan it and make it a special night. I am still in denial that this milestone has come and gone. Are we that old??

7 Months

Yes, you did read the title correctly. Olivia is 7 months old today. I have said that over and over to myself all day and still cannot believe that our baby is 7 months old! It seems like the last month she has grown up so much. She is no longer the infant that just lays or her back on a blanket just looking around. She is sitting up now and is into EVERYthing. It's a struggle just to get this child's diaper changed. She is a very curious baby and has to know what is going on at all times.

She is continuing to eat 3 meals a day (she has tried 4 fruits and 2 vegetables) and is nursing 5 times a day. The solid food is also helping her sleep much better at night and take longer naps during the day. Some things she loves MOST: her activity gym, when her daddy comes home from work, the fish tank, Lilly, strolls around the neighborhood, her bell toy, her lovies and ninny and to be rocked to sleep at night. Olivia is such a blessing and not one night has gone by the last 7 months that we haven't thanked God for her.

This is how Olivia ends everyday. I know all the books say don't rock babies to sleep. I would not take back one second that I have rocked her. I cherish this time every night and will hate when the day comes that I cannot do so.
On a side note: Hays and I spent most of today making baby food. I know we are doing what is best for Olivia but oh, how I despise the process!

Baby Dolls and Books

Olivia played with her baby doll for the first time of many, I am sure. She had such a good time chewing on its feet, hands and of course, the tag. I try to keep this busy little girl as occupied as possible. She also loves to sit in my lap and look at books. She's such a mess. Happy hump day!
