Not a lot has been happenin' around our household lately. We are sad to see that over half of our summer has come and gone.
We had a "slumber party" the other night in our bedroom. We popped popcorn and we all watched a movie in our bed then the little brother went to his bed while the big sister got to continue with the party and sleep with us me in our bed (daddy opted for the couch on this night). She thought it was such a treat to sleep in our bed. I really thought the chatter box was never going to be quiet long enough to fall asleep but she finally did around 10 o'clock.
We have also been enjoying some really late mornings. When things don't start rolling around our house until 8:30 or 9:00 that is a real treat for the mommy and daddy.
These are two peas in a pod.
We have been trying our hand at some finger painting. Other than being slightly unproportional and our lobster being cross eyed, I would say it looks pretty good. Just so you know, that's Nemo and Tinkerbell at the bottom (representing the fish in our actual fish tank). :)
We of course, have been to the all time favorite by both of them, the park. Never gets old and we are so fortunate so have such a great park literally around the corner.
This little guy is finally starting to pull up. He has been to the orthopedic and visits the physical therapist once a week to motivate him towards walking. He will do it on his own time. Until then, we will wait very patiently.
Have y'all heard that boys undies is the new girls fashion?
Yep, at least that's the case in our household and I don't have the heart to tell her any different.
These two are real troopers. Mommy and daddy got a wild hair to train for a triathlon so they have been tagging along for some of the bike rides. I know it doesn't look like it but they both have a great time.
Fourth of July has come and gone as well. The holiday was very low key this year with not a lot planned. Olivia went to the beach with Gigi and Papa while we held down the fort. We did get out and run the Watermelon Classic that morning where Hays pushed Ford the whole time and I actually placed fourth in my age group by running it in 25:17.
He's a superstar.
He either pulls up onto his feet or gets up on all fours.
Whatever it takes, buddy.
Trying out the culinary skills with a pizza. Pretty tasty if I do say so myself.
Playing play dough with all of our "bear" friends.
Somebody loves getting some smooches from his furry sister.
Happy summer happenin's!
