Miscellaneous

The other night we had friends babysit Olivia so we could have a little date night. They are awesome friends and it is so comforting to know that Olivia is in good hands and we can enjoy ourselves. It is also nice to have friends that love our little girl almost as much as we do! :) We got home and they told us story after story about Olivia and what she did that night. She brought Reid ALL of her stuffed animals from her bedroom and put them on the couch with him. I thought it was so funny the next night when she brought ALL of them to her chair in the living room to watch TV (upside down, nonetheless). What goes through a toddler's mind???

We got this ball at Wal-Mart the other day. Little did I know it would be her new best friend. It also had a turn watching TV in her chair. I think she has the whole sharing thing down pat?

She also had to give the ball a ride on the tricycle. Too funny!
Oops...it's sideways.

Beach Trip: Numero Quatro

The boys (Mr.Jan, Matt and Hays) planned a golf trip for a long weekend so we (me, Amberly and Mrs.Gail) took the kids to the beach. We had such a good time. It was too short but who doesn't say that after a vacation? It was wild with 2 toddlers but we wouldn't have it any other way. Wil Franklin and Olivia LOVE to play together. We do hope the boys had a nice peacful trip filled with lots of sleep and relaxation. Maybe the girls will get a well deserved vacation soon??? Hint, Hint..............

Just Having Some Fun

Since it is so scorching hot outside these days I have been trying to come up with some fun inside activities for Olivia to do so she's not glued to the tv all day. On this day we tried coloring. I may be a tad ambitious because instead of coloring with the crayons she decided to eat them.

The next day we played in whipped topping. She was supposed to play in it and smear it everywhere and maybe...try a bite (like she did with the crayons)! Well, she looked at it for a few minutes and wanted nothing to do with it. Oh well.....

We also LOVE to play hide and seek. I thought it was so funny when I went to find her and she was behind the curtains with ten little toes poking out. So cute.

After bath time the other night trying on her rain boots. She really liked them...for a second.

Can we say that somebody had a really good nap???

Tonight I caught her rocking her baby doll and singing twinkle twinkle little star to it. How precious. I think she might do just fine as a big sister! :)

SURPRISE!!! Olivia has BIG News!

Yep, you read it right. Olivia is going to be  BIG sister! We are beyond excited and by this picture you can tell that Olivia is too. The baby is due March 6th which will make them 2 years and about a month apart. We might be a tad busy in the spring. We are not finding out what this baby is this time (maybe writing that on here will help me stick to it) so we will find out if Olivia has a brother or sister the day we meet the baby. How exciting!!!

"who, me???" Yep, you sister!!
If I don't update as much as I have in the past it's because I am spending some precious time with this little one before she's not the little one any longer. :)))

Paradise...the cruise

Remember, we are playing major catch up. About a month ago we went with Hays' family on a cruise. It was a week long vacation that was much needed and enjoyed. We left from Fort Lauderdale and went to St. Thomas, St. Martaan and the Bahamas. We went to several different beaches, snorkeled, and did a ropes/zip lines course. We had all meals prepared for us, our bed folded back each night and Olivia was with her Nano and Pops....a true vacation. We missed Olivia terribly but had a fabulous time!

Our boat, The Allure of the Seas. The biggest boat in the world. It was REALLY big!

Randomness.....

Peekaboo :)

Yep, we're those people. You know, the ones that see something like this and say I will NEVER do that! Hahaha! Well, we are! We are using a leash! It was becoming a necessity when the girl would NOT stay in the basket and wanted to run ALL over the place when let down. Never say never!

The girl LOVES her daddy, on his shoulders, on his lap or on his hip. Doesn't matter, she loves him any way.

Shhhhh...don't tell Hays! Olivia had her first happy meal from McDonald's. She wasn't in love if that helps any.

Always something random going on around here. A dog bone and flip flops in the doll house???

Our second home this summer....the splash park!

We are learning new words everyday. This day it was hat. I think she got it!

The girl loves to play in her bed...wonder if she's just weird like that?? She will spend up to 30 minutes just playing away with all her stuffed animals.

Was it somone's birthday...SURPRISE!!!

Hays' 30th birthday was July 26th. It was a very low key birthday for him....until Friday night. Somehow I was able to pull off a surprise birthday party for him with the help of many friends and family. I had been planning this party for months which is very difficult when you live with the person the surprise is for. So after many deleted texts and little white lies we pulled it off and he was completely surprised.

Hays had many friends and family come to help celebrate the big 3-0! We had a little pool and a blow up slide/bouncy house for all the little ones and some yummy pizza from Sal and Mookies. This cake was a yummy chocolate on the bottom and strawberry (Hays' favorite) on the top.

A little blurry but this is when he walked in and saw 30+ people there. SURPRISE!

I can't believe we actually pulled it off. It was a great night. Happy Birthday Hays!
